Twins

This ain’t no Tipton hotel; this is Rose and these twins are not living the suite life. Sometimes being a twin comes with disadvantages.
“One thing that I don't like about being a twin is that we are constantly being compared to each other,” sophomore Jillian Ebron said. These twins have to go to school together, sporting events, family activities and functions in which they share common interests together. Sophomore Nikolas Ebron said after spending so much time together it is easy for them to get annoyed with each other. “It’s annoying, sometimes I want to be alone but Macy seems to always be there,” sophomore Madison Powers said. People often notice their similarities rather than their unique qualities. They may look alike but they have their own unique interests and personalities. For example, although juniors Jevontre and Devontre Short are identical in appearance, they do not see eye to eye when it comes to sports teams. “I’m Yankees; he’s Boston,” junior Devontre Short said. There are also a lot of advantages to being a twin. Twins never have to go anywhere alone because someone always has their back. “You always have a friend and someone to hang out with when you’re bored,” freshman Virginia Crawley said. While most people either have older siblings who did not want to play with them or younger siblings that they did not want to hangout with, twins have always had someone there to occupy themselves. Junior Megan Hyman won two tickets to “So you think you can Dance?” by entering a raffle at the local dance store At Barre. Since Megan and Emily have such a close bond, Megan chose Emily to take with her. “Yeah, it was a really good twin perk,” Emily Hyman said. There are many pairs of twins that attend rose. Twins are repeatedly asked the same questions about their lives, which may seem unusual to us but is everyday life for them. The Kinley twins said they are asked a lot of stupid questions. “Are you guys twins? Do you have telepathy?” freshman Mary Kathryn and Kristen Kinley said in unison.
